Izod vs Prudential

The Izod Center is our old arena in the Meadowlands that has been home to the Nets, Devils and thousands of events. The Prudential Center, recently built in downtown Newark as the new home for the Devils, is eager to attract other teams and events to its state-of-the-art facilities. Last week, Newark Mayor Cory Booker questioned Governor Jon Corzine as to why the state was planning to spend taxpayer money to upgrade the Izod Center and asked him to veto the renovation plans.
