Governor Christie vs NJ Teachers

The battle between Chris Christie and the New Jersey Education Association has been raging since the governor proposed massive school funding cuts at his bidget address. He called on teachers from the state to accept a pay freeze. He then referred to the NJEA teachers union as the "bullies of State Street." The NJEA has since been firing back with protests and advertisements. Now we want to hear from you. Sound off, New Jersey!

Bergen Blue Law Brawl

Blue Laws prevent Bergen County stores from opening on Sunday. Such laws disappeared in most other locations in New Jersey decades ago, but Bergen County residents prevented the abolishment due to a desire to minimize local Sunday traffic. Facing financial chllenges, Governor Chris Christie has called for the lifting of the Bergen County Blue Laws in order to add $65 million in state taxes. New Jersey Bear Hunt

New Jersey is yet again considering bringing back a hunt to help reduce the state’s growing bear population. Last week, the New Jersey Fish and Game Council voted unanimously to recommend a six-day bear hunt in December. The state environmental commissioner still must approve the plan.
