Ticket Refunds

Partial refunds will be granted to motorists in 18 New Jersey municipalities who were cited for running red lights by automated systems using cameras, according to a class action lawsuit settlement announced today.  Plaintiffs claimed that the yellow lights did not provide motorists with enough time to get through the intersection.  We can see you waving those tickets in the air as we write this.  Sound off, New Jersey!

New Jersey Red Light Cameras on the Way Out

New Jersey has suspended its much maligned red light camera program due to criticism over the accuracy of the devices.  It looks like frustrated motorists are getting their way while the state may be losing millions of dollars in fine revenue.  We want to hear what you all think.  Sound off, New Jersey!

Jets Get Tebow

No Hugging at NJ School

Principal Tyler Blackmore of Matawan Aberdeen Middle School announced today that hugging would be forbidden in the school. According to David Healy, Superintendent of Schools for the Matawan Aberdeen Regional School District, the brief announcement was prompted by “the excessive, observed and reported, welcomed and unwelcomed hugging or physical contact between students.” Students are confused, parents are upset. NJ Battle Over Minimum Wage

The New Jersey Assembly Labor Committee is considering a bill that would raise the minimum wage in the state from $7.25 to $8.50 per hour. Governor Chris Christie Christie said ” I am not yet focused on the and what we may or may not do- but what I can guarantee you is that nothing will be done unless I’m a player at the table to discuss it…and so far the democrats have just decided to operate on their own – we’ve seen this before, when they operate on their own, things get vetoed…so they should come and sit and talk to me about it – no one has yet.” This battle promises to rage on.
