Blogger Arrest

Hal Turner, a blogger from North Bergen, was arrested earlier this month after officials spotted an entry on his blog that encouraged residents to "take up arms" against Connecticut lawmakers. The blog was over legislation that would have given lay members of Roman Catholic churches more control over parish finances. Turner promised to publish the addresses of lawmakers who sided against church officials. We want to hear from you. Sound off, New Jersey!

NJ Spending Budget

New Jersey is about to approve its spending budget for the year. This year's proposed $28.6 billion spending plan will kill homestead rebates for most New Jerseyans, raise income taxes for the wealthy, increase cigarette and alcohol taxes, and cap college tuition hikes.
